Club Rules
Listed below are a few rules we would like all to follow. Hope you enjoy belonging to our club.
1. Do not tailgate - Any horse will get upset with a strange horse on his tail; this may provoke them to kick.
2. If you have a horse that may kick, put a red ribbon on his tail to warn others behind you to keep their distance.
3. Do not pass the trail boss without permission. The trail boss knows the trails best, please respect his position.
4. Stay with the group at all times. You should stay close enough to the horse in front of you so that you can see his rear end at all times. This helps ensure nobody gets lost. If you must stop or leave the ride early, please tell the trail boss.
5. Only pass another horse at a walk. If you run up behind or pass another horse, that horse my bolt or spook.
6. Tie short - when tying your horse to a tree or trailer, always tie the lead rope short. If the horse can get his foot or head caught in the rope; it may cause a serious accident.
7. Cross-tie your horse when stopping for a break. This is a requirement in the state and national forests. This keeps him from chewing the bark off the trees, eventually killing them.
8. Please refrain from drinking alcoholic beverages on trail rides. Save the partying for back at the campground.
9. If a problem develops on the trail ride, please inform an officer or board member so they can handle the situation.
10. Always use courtesy and commen sense.
